Through her bird-like forms, the artist tries to reflect human characteristics in a humorous way. Each sculpture is individually moulded in wax using the “lost wax” process which turns into silver. The Gold areas of the pieces are 24-carat gold leaf which is applied directly by hand. For some pieces, a copper box surround is then made to house the sculpture and the whole instalment is box framed. |
